…to ME!

Being single does have it’s advantages…no one to buy gifts for but yourself. I took advantage of the holiday rush and upgraded my ancient 20″ TV to a new 32″ model…one my DVD player actually works with!

I need to be packing to move next Saturday, but I may not move off the couch for the rest of the weekend…especially since there is Big XII football to be had. Quite the rarity here in SEC/ACC country.

Well…I’m off to that couch. Hope everyone had a nice holiday. Thanks to all of you who have left kind words…they mean a lot.

Those of you I’m writing this for know who you are. (Not you Lance!)

I’m sick of people telling me to “snap out of it.” I bared my soul to this man and invested every bit of myself in that relationship for six months.

I’m sorry people. I can’t “snap out of it.” I loved him (at least who I thought he was), and no matter how big of a jerk he was or how big of a fool I was, this is going to take some time for me to get over. I’m not through mourning and obviously I’m not through hurting.

For those of you who can turn things like that on and off like a lamp, my hat is off to you. I’m not like that and I never will be. If you can’t be understanding of me right now, I’d rather you just left me alone.

Sometimes my friend Lance has a way of putting things in exactly the terms I need to hear them. This is one of those times. As always…thanks, Lance.

Here in the midst of being pissed off and indignant, I started to feel a little sadness again just now.

Sad. We could have been so good together. But a human being with no sense of decency or integrity is toxic, and eventually he would have poisoned me too.

I wish he’d been the person I thought he was.

You’ve all heard of it. Before you buy a used car, this handy website will tell you all about the vehicle’s history – has it been wrecked, has the odometer been tampered with, is the title clear. All sorts of “consumer protection” sites exist – RipoffReport is a good one – that aim to steer us clear of bad deals of one kind or another.

What about getting a bad deal on a partner? I haven’t come across a site like that yet. There should be one. BoyfriendReport.com perhaps. It would tell you a guy’s complete dating history…does he cheat? Lie? Is his title clear? Sure would be great to be able to find that out about someone before you give away your heart.

There should definitely be a website like that. Maybe I should start one…I’d make a million bucks overnight.
